Joy Lunt is a registered nurse. After 10 years of clinical experience as a nurse in hospital settings, administrative roles and home health care, she opened her first Neurofeedback Practice in 1993. Joy has trained with Dr. Barry Sterman, Dr. Joel Lubar, Drs’. Michael and Lynda Thompson, and other pioneers in the field. After 11 years in Chicago she moved to Burbank California and opened a second practice there in 2003. Joy’s practice is limited to Neurofeedback so she has had the privilege of providing these services full time for over 20 years. She is a frequent presenter with EEG Education and Research and is currently the President of ISNR. Joy functions as a recognized mentor for BCIA and does individual consulting and mentoring internationally, as well as local community outreach. She is the author, with Jack Johnstone and Jay Gunkelman, of Clinical Database Development: Characterization of EEG Phenotypes, Electroencephalography and Clinical Neuroscience, 2005 36 (2), 99-107. She also co-authored a chapter with Jack Johnstone Ph.D. in R. Coben & J.R. Evans (Eds). Neurofeedback and Neuromodulation Techniques and Applications published in 2011.
